Understanding Attendance Percentage Calculator

Attendance percentage measures the share of conducted classes that you attended. Use the institution's recorded number of conducted sessions as the denominator rather than the number originally scheduled on a timetable. Cancelled classes may not count, and a laboratory session may be recorded differently from a lecture. Enter attended and conducted counts as whole numbers using one consistent definition of a session. The tool divides attended classes by conducted classes and multiplies by one hundred. It rejects an attended count above the conducted total because that indicates mismatched records. At least one class must have been conducted to define a percentage. A result of zero is valid when classes occurred but none were attended. This calculator reports your current position; it does not estimate the number of future classes needed to recover a target. Excused absences, medical leave and attendance rounding may be treated differently by institutions. This ratio does not apply those exemptions automatically.

Formula

Attendance = attended classes ÷ conducted classes × 100

Worked example

Attending 36 of 45 conducted classes gives 36/45 × 100 = 80%.
