Formula Used

Classes Needed = ceil((Target% × Total - 100 × Attended) / (100 - Target%)) | Bunkable = floor((100 × Attended - Target% × Total) / Target%)

If your attendance is below target, every consecutive class attended adds 1 to both numerator and denominator until the ratio meets target T%. If your attendance is currently above target, you can miss M classes (adding M only to the denominator) without dropping below target.

Example Calculation Walkthrough

Attended 20 out of 30 classes (66.67%). Target: 75%. Classes needed = ceil((75 × 30 - 100 × 20) / (100 - 75)) = ceil((2250 - 2000) / 25) = ceil(250 / 25) = 10 classes. You must attend the next 10 classes in a row. If you attended 40 out of 45 classes (88.89%), Bunkable = floor((4000 - 75 × 45) / 75) = floor((4000 - 3375) / 75) = floor(625 / 75) = 8 classes safe to skip!

  4. Instantly read whether you need to attend upcoming classes or if you have safe bunkable credits available!

Understanding Required Attendance Calculator in Academic Evaluation

Every student knows the feeling of wanting to skip a rainy morning lecture but worrying about the 75% attendance rule. The Required Attendance Calculator eliminates mental gymnastics. It tells you with mathematical precision exactly how many classes you must attend consecutively to recover from an attendance dip, or how many lectures you can safely take off for an event or study session without risking exam debarment.
